The first virtual reality headset, the Oculus Rift, was shipped in 2016. Since then, the virtual reality industry has grown to be a 15 billion dollar industry per year. With new hardware and software releases upcoming from Meta, Apple, Google, and more, the future is looking brighter than ever.
I’ve been a follower of virtual reality since its inception. The idea of playing games using real-life motion intrigued me. Since Facebook (now Meta) purchased Oculus and dedicated billions of dollars to developing the virtual reality and metaverse ecosystems, it’s been a catalyst for interest in the space.
There are plenty of virtual reality “news” sites which follow the current news and rumors of the day. However, there was not a place with detailed tutorials, dedicated how-to guides, and product reviews for VR games, hardware, and accessories.
So I built it.
